Oratoria
About
ōrātōris m genitive singular of ōrātor (“orator, speaker”)
Oratoria was established in 2018 as a literary magazine based in London, UK specifically focusing on new voices. We are a small group of writers and editors who love stories and poetry and art and are keen to read works that push the edge of thoughts, beliefs and identities.
After its initial release right before COVID19, the magazine suffered in terms of loss of team members. However, since 2022 we have churned out our small batch, independent press with some success and now are in a position to continue with the literary magazine again! We hope you are able to join us in our renewed journey. We publish fiction, non-fiction, poetry, art and photography, and interviews of the cover artists. Since our taste in work is varied, we invite sumissions from writers of any race, gender, and nationality. We are looking to start publishing book reviews and interview features in the upcoming issues.

"Girlfriends"
Andréa Acker

"Girlfriends" is an empowering visual commentary on what happens when women support each other. It's a plea to women all over the world to stick together and reach out to one another, genuinely sharing their strength and inspiring each other with the purpose of reviving the ancient matriarcal societies ideals.
Andréa is a visual artivist from Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. Her artworks act as political, historical, socioeconomic and ecological commentaries. Andréa is highly inspired by the Surrealist movement, the symbolism found in the Neolithic period artifacts and the indigenous and tribal arts. The artist holds a degree in Fashion Design, so both the design and the fashion aspects can be identified in her work.
